Mr Osvaldo Iadarola reports
Audiotech Healthcare's flagship North Kamloops clinic opened for business this morning. The new free-standing clinic is located in the Northills Mall, a prominent shopping centre within blocks of several large seniors housing projects and in close proximity to major public transportation routes. Due to the new clinic's favourable location, management is confident that it will capture the business of a considerable proportion of the patients living in North Kamloops who are currently serviced by competing clinics in South Kamloops. In addition, approximately 1,500 patients presently serviced by the corporation's existing clinic in downtown Kamloops will now be more conveniently served by a location closer to their home.
Commenting on the opening of the new clinic, Osvaldo Iadarola, president of Audiotech, said: "We are truly proud of our new North Kamloops clinic. In addition to freeing up capacity at our clinic in downtown Kamloops, this clinic will serve as the model for our future expansion. It is equipped with the most modern equipment and patient management systems available, and incorporates the new look of Canadian Hearing Care, our Canadian clinic division."
Shareholders and the media are invited to attend the official opening of the clinic in early May, 2000, in conjunction with Better Speech and Hearing Month.
Management continues to investigate additional opportunities to open new free-standing and satellite clinics across Western Canada and the Pacific Northwest United States. Audiotech also continues to evaluate acquisitions which will complement the corporation's existing operations.
