Audiotech Healthcare Corporation has entered into an e-commerce operating agreement with Kamloops-based MediaWave Communications Corp., pursuant to which Audiotech has launched an expanded version of its HearingDepot.com (www.hearingdepot.com) e-commerce Web site. In accordance with the operating agreement, MediaWave will be compensated for its design, programming, maintenance, hosting and marketing services exclusively in the form of a royalty on net operating profits as opposed to a monthly retainer. Audiotech has retained an option to purchase MediaWave's royalty interest should it deem it desirable in the future. This structure will permit Audiotech and MediaWave to jointly expand HearingDepot.com in a cost-efficient and profitable manner.

The expanded HearingDepot.com Web site includes a wide range of new product listings composed primarily of assistive products for the hearing impaired including amplified telephones, signalling devices and much more. Audiotech has recently secure additional product distribution agreements that will see the list of products offered at HearingDepot.com expand further over the coming months. Commenting on the agreement Audiotech president Osvaldo (Ozzie) Iadarola said: "With the major realignment in the technology sector over the past year, it became necessary for Audiotech to partner with a company with a proven track record in e-commerce while at the same time eliminating the majority of the overhead costs associated with our e-commerce operations. Our agreement with MediaWave does both."
